Link Exchanges and Other Garbage

|November 5, 2006|Uncategorized|

by Osman Parvez

Every day, I seem to get new requests for a link exchange. I think it’s time to post a few things that define my approach to linking, blogging, search engine optimization (SEO), etc.

I Believe in…
1. Creating the highest possible value for my clients.
2. Creating useful and interesting original content.
3. Sharing relevant and interesting non-original content.
4. Always seeking improvement, it’s how we stay ahead of the competition.
5. An honest opinion, in line with my beliefs and values. (i.e., integrity).

I Don’t Believe in…
1. Link exchanges and other attempts to trick search engines.
2. SPAM… unwanted, poorly written junk mail sent across the Internet.
3. Smearing those who have a different opinion.
4. Sensationalism, cheap shots, spin.
5. Shortcuts to success.

If you have a product or service that might benefit the readers of this blog, please contact me. But take a few minutes to tell me why readers will benefit from knowing about it. If I understand the value of your idea, I will happily write a post, toss in a link, and maybe even become your strongest advocate. If I think it falls into one of the categories of things I don’t believe in, you probably won’t get a response.

By the way, this isn’t a complete list, but maybe it’s a good start.
