Weekend Reading

My take: Boulder is headed for more population density, like it or not. Already the shift of humans away from Boulder’s historic downtown has occurred, with the Transit Village Area Plan and all of the development at 30th/Pearl. Council has identified the 55th and Arapahoe area as the next target and have begun talking about a second phase of the TVAP. The planning reserve, just north of 28th is also on the radar. How greater density occurs and what it eventually looks like will be the subject of intense debate in coming months and years.

My take: Boulder’s startup ecosystem has a virtuous cycle. Once founders take their exits, they rarely rest on the beach sipping coladas for very long. Most successful entrepreneurs typically create new companies, often with some of the same original team members and investors. Boulder has been the beneficiary of a vibrant startup ecosystem for decades in many industries. “Merc” was a pioneer, not just in the companies he helped create, but in sowing the seeds of innovation for multiple generations of entrepreneurs.

Testimonials

Osman was a refreshingly honest realtor. He stressed through the entire process that his goal was to make me happy with my home purchase. I greatly appreciated the fact that he never shied away from pointing out the negatives as well as the pluses of different places while leaving the final decision up to me.

We can highly recommend Sophie. Her attention to detail and communication skills are great. Our home was in area that most realtors are not familiar with, but Sophie took extra time to get to know the neighborhood in order to give us quality service. She also brought in a professional photographer to make our home look its best. Even though the listing was in winter, the house sold quickly. With Sophie’s business and people skills, we have no doubt she will be a top realtor in the area.
