809 Pine Street | $4.95M [Notable Sale]

NOTABLE SALE: 809 Pine Street | $4.95M

Why Is It Notable?

A Queen Anne in the center of the Mapleton Historic District, designed by E. H. Dimick, a local architect who also designed Old Main. The home sits on just over half an acre and is known as the Morrison-McKenzie house. Constructed circa 1877 for just $3,500, it was designed and built for John Morrison, a local mining businessman.

From a livability perspective, the property is more than adequate. It features six bedrooms, parlor, formal living room, family room, two wood burning fireplaces, and a carriage house – spread across a generous 4,800 T. SQFT. The location is well chosen, only two blocks from Pearl – far enough away from the ruckus but close enough for an evening stroll to Boulder’s best restaurants and bars.

809 Pine was listed at the end of November (which is not a great time to list) and was available for almost three weeks. It closed at the end of January with no disclosed concessions for $4.95M.
