The weather this weekend is looking fine with a foretasted high of 80 degrees Sunday and sunshine all weekend. If you can squeeze it in, here’s an opportunity to see some of Boulder’s most beautiful “modern style” homes.

Historic Boulder is offering a walking tour today and Sunday from 11am to 5pm of homes it calls “Landmarks of the Future.” Tickets are $10 for Historic Boulder members, $15 for nonmembers and may be purchased with cash or checks during tour hours at the houses on the tour.

According to Historic Boulder,

All of the homes are west of Sixth Street between University Avenue and Baseline Road. This tour is a treasure hunt – up hills, behind trees and down wooded lanes you hadn’t ever noticed. Expect exciting indoor spaces, fabulous views, wonderful art and lovely gardens just beginning to bloom. The tour celebrates contemporary modern architecture for its livability and unique design response to its environment.

Here are the houses on the tour:

  • 435 University Ave.
  • 950 Gilbert
  • 750 6th St.
  • 420 Christmas Tree Drive
  • 525 College Ave

Here’s a map of the locations:

Testimonials

We can highly recommend Sophie. Her attention to detail and communication skills are great. Our home was in area that most realtors are not familiar with, but Sophie took extra time to get to know the neighborhood in order to give us quality service. She also brought in a professional photographer to make our home look its best. Even though the listing was in winter, the house sold quickly. With Sophie’s business and people skills, we have no doubt she will be a top realtor in the area.

Osman was a refreshingly honest realtor. He stressed through the entire process that his goal was to make me happy with my home purchase. I greatly appreciated the fact that he never shied away from pointing out the negatives as well as the pluses of different places while leaving the final decision up to me.
