MLS Data Sharing Ends – Now What?

Effective today, data sharing between regional MLS systems IRES and Metrolist ends. As of this writing, IRES controls 78% of the listings in the city of Boulder (as shown in the chart above) and 71% within Boulder County.

Market penetration varies by city. On the front range, IRES controls a greater share of northern Colorado real estate. Metrolist controls Denver and the immediate suburbs. PPAR controls Colorado Springs.

If you’re a home buyer in Boulder or surrounding areas, make sure that you are receiving listings from both MLS systems. There are currently over 100 listings on Metrolist in the City of Boulder. If you’re selling your property, be 100% sure that your listing is entered into both systems. You can’t afford to miss out on potential buyers.

Experienced and skilled agents have been using both MLS systems for years. We know that anything less is a disservice to our clients. We also use a wide variety of secondary websites as well as professional networks to market our listings and find homes for our buyers. Only inexperienced, part-time, or low performing agents limp by without complete MLS access. They hope you won’t know or notice the difference.

At Realty Unique, our goal is to help you make a smarter real estate decision. Learn more.

Testimonials

Osman was a refreshingly honest realtor. He stressed through the entire process that his goal was to make me happy with my home purchase. I greatly appreciated the fact that he never shied away from pointing out the negatives as well as the pluses of different places while leaving the final decision up to me.

We can highly recommend Sophie. Her attention to detail and communication skills are great. Our home was in area that most realtors are not familiar with, but Sophie took extra time to get to know the neighborhood in order to give us quality service. She also brought in a professional photographer to make our home look its best. Even though the listing was in winter, the house sold quickly. With Sophie’s business and people skills, we have no doubt she will be a top realtor in the area.
